Limited Editions

Red Delicious bags and accessories are individually made by hand in our Seattle studio - no mass production or imports here. When you purchase from this website the bags and accessories are made to order.

We make only limited editions. This usually means just two or three of each style in each fabric option.

Materials and Construction

Outside

The bags are made from canvas. This looks smart and is both lightweight and hardwearing. Durability is a very important element of our designs. The patterned fabrics are usually either cotton or a cotton blend.

The Messenger Bag straps are nylon webbing with nickel colored metal slider and loops. We use a color to match the rest of the bag.

The Chopstick Bag handles really are chopsticks - you could eat lunch with them if you wanted. They are solid wood and so make good, strong handbag handles. We use either black or natural wood colors to match the rest of the bag.

Inside

Lining fabrics are usually cotton or cotton blends for durability. They are in colors chosen to complement the outside colors and are usually a light color so you can actually see what is inside your bag.

Pockets are usually in the same fabric as the outside patterned fabric. They are slip pocket style, which means a rectangular shape with an open top.

All bags and accessories are fully lined with interfacing to help provide shape and strength.

Closures

The bag closures are either nickel magnetic snaps, which provide a secure, tight closure which is also easy to use, or nylon zippers. See the descriptions for each bag. The Card Holders have snap closures (not magnetic) in nickel metal.

The Wristlet and Cosmetics Purse have zipper closures in a color that complements the outside patterned fabric.

Care

We recommend that you treat your bags with a stain-resistant product before use.

If your bags need to be cleaned we recommend dry cleaning. You can spot clean or gently hand wash bags. Let them drip dry then use a steam iron to get out any wrinkles.
